Parish Information

Ravenstone Today

Ravenstone today comprises of just over one hundred dwellings including three working farms set within a very attractive rural landscape. In 2011 census the population was recorded as 209 people. Many of the buildings were originally farmhouses, farm buildings or cottages built for agricultural workers. The attractive view along Common Street has changed little in centuries. The village hall was originally the village school and the old school house is now a private residence. The majority of the buildings are made from local stone and many of them are thatched. The whole village is a Conservation Area and about a third of the buildings are listed, all of them Grade 2 except for All Saints Church which is Grade 1.
